Rakhe Rakhanhaar invokes protection as one walks the path of his or her destiny. It protects against all negative inner and outer forces.
It is part of the evening prayer of the Sikhs, called "rehiras," and it was composed by the 5th Sikh guru, Guru Arjan Dev.
This is definitely the most challenging of the mantras to learn, but take your time and you will learn to not only chant it, but to savor the quality it brings to your life.
lyrics
Punjabi with English translation:
Rakhe rakhanahaar aap ubaarian
Oh god, you save us all and take us across, uplifting and giving excellence
Gur kee paireee paa-ay kaaj savaarian
You gave us the touch of the lotus feet of the guru, and all our jobs are done with perfection
Hoaa app dayall manaho naa(n) visaari-an
You have become merciful, kind, and compassionate, and so our mind does not forget you
Saadh janaa kai sang bhavjal taarian
In the company of the holy, you take us from misfortune and calamaties, scandals, and disrepute
Saakat nindak dusht khin maaeh bidaarian
Godless, slanderous enemies, you finish in an instant
Tis saahib kee tayk naanak manai maaeh
That great lord is my anchor. Nanak keep him firm in your mind.
Jis simrat sukh hoay sagalay dookh jaaeh
By meditating and repeating his name, all happiness comes and all sorrows and pain go away

Jiwan Shakti and mantramatic make mantra music for the new millennium. They combine trad mantra with folky neo-psychedelic for a transcendent listening experience.
Khruangbin popped up on my Horace Silver station on Pandora, at first seeming an odd bit. But their mix of instrumental coolness and bass/rhythmic grooves is just cosmic. They make me happy feel. mantramatic
Horace Silver is my go-to music for working on the computer all day. Like Miles Davis, Horace always makes me feel like cool water is being poured on my overheated brain. Pure love, man. mantramatic
