about

The Adi Mantra and Managla Charan mantras are often chanted together.

The Adi Mantra is chanted at the beginning of a Kundalini Yoga meditation or yoga set to "tune in" to the universal wisdom that is both "out there" and inside ourselves.

The Mangala Charan Mantra is chanted to protect us from negative energy, accidents, and the like.

Together these two mantras prepare you to practice meditation and yoga and help you create a protected space in which to practice. This extended version takes the usual 3X repetitions and expands it to a full 7-minute lively and dynamic meditative experience.

This release also includes the much shorter, more traditional version of the Adi Mantra/Mangalacharan Mantra as a bonus track, for those who want to use it as part of their meditative practice.

lyrics

Punjabi with English translation:

Adi Mantra:

Ong namo
I call on the infinite creative consciousness

Guru dev namo
I call on the teacher within

Mangala Charan Mantra:

Ad guray nameh
I bow to the primal wisdom

Jagad guray nameh
I bow to the wisdom through the ages

Sat guray nameh
I bow to the true wisdom

Siri guru devay nameh
I bow to the great unseen wisdom
